In the fall of 1988, Gunn was on the road for a year to learn at the British American Drama Academy. When she moved from Laurel Canyon Los Angeles she shared a house with Pamela Adlon. Gunn is well-known for her role as Skyler White on the AMC drama series Breaking. she was nominated for an award called the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding supporting actress in an Drama Series for her performance winning both 2013 and 2014. The New York Times published an article in August of 2013 in which they discussed the negativity of the public's perception about her performance.
