Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28th the 28th of October, 1967. Her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer who was also one of the first Roberts to move to Atlanta. Her father's passion for theatre was inherited by her. in theatre from an early time. As in school at Emory University in 1952 he was a part of productions at Emory University and elsewhere in Atlanta. After joining the airforce, in 1953 he appeared in an air force production in Biloxi together with Betty Lou Bredemus. Both married in 2005 and welcomed their first child, Eric Anthony in 1956. Walter was enrolled in Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In 1957, the couple were discharged from the air force and Walter started his education at Tulane. The family relocated in 1960 into Decatur Georgia where Walter began working at Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. Walter and Betty Lou financed their own production of the local Sunday morning show for children, Bum Bum and His Buddies. In 1964 Betty Lou and Walter founded their own organization called the Actors and Writers Workshop. It ran for 6 years. Lelisa Billingsley, also known as Lisa, was born in 1965. Julia Billingsley followed in 1967.
