Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28 the 28th of October, 1967. Roberts is from the fourth generation of Roberts family to have lived in Atlanta. It began with her great grandfather John Pendleton Roberts who was a farm. She inherited her father's interest in the theatre at a young time. When he was a college students studying at Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he was a part of many shows. When he joined in 1953 the Air force in Biloxi, he was seen together with Betty Lou Bredemus in Biloxi. The couple got married in the year 1955. Their first baby son Eric Anthony, was born in 1956. Walter was an undergraduate at Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In the year 1957, they were discharged from the air force and Walter began studying at Tulane. Walter began his work at Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. Walter and Betty Lou produced a Saturday morning local television show for children named Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964, a project they self-financed. They established an Actors and Writers Workshop in the same year, which was in operation for a period of 6 years. The couple also had two children: Lelisa Billingsley (1965) (also called Lisa), and Julia Billingsley (1967) (also know by the same name Julie).
