Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a playback vocalist, actress and musician. She primarily works as a performer and music composer for Tamil and Malayalam language films. She first made an appearance in Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam and Malayalam debut with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in an Anglo-Indian home at Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea's father was a Madras High Court lawyer. She is the younger sibling of the researcher assistant who lives in Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah has a family in the vicinity of Chennai and was a student at National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea, who began with classical piano classes at the age of eight, has been classified as being a "geek" and was aspired to become a psychiatric until her board exam in 12th grade. She sang in The Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars in the age of 10. The group was the beginning of the foundation for her music and singing career. The actress was also a stage artist at the university as well as appearing in various performances staged by The Madras Players and EVAM. Andrea was president of Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began her stage career with Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. She acted in new leo advertising for coffee along together with the actor Shiva in the year 2006. In 2006, she starred in a television series which was broadcast on Podhigai. Her performances have been seen across India. Her role was minor as a guest in Kanda Mudhal finale (2005). Following her performance of a song in Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu he asked her to play in the role of a lead female characters in his next venture Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed, with Andrea portraying Kalyani a homemaker whose husband engages in an affair and then is threatened with blackmail. Andrea was cast in this role because of Simran and Tabu, two actresses who were offered the role by the producers. It was first released in early 2010. In 2011, she agreed to perform a tiny support role in Venkatprabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha and it was premiered in August of 2011. The actress made her Malayalam film debut alongside The Annayum of Rajeeev Rahthi in Rasoolum in the year 2013.
